I know the dress well(very lovely),but we must discuss those shoes. Fab forties in red are on my B-day wishlist and I think they fit the bill. Who are they by?
Oh so cute!
I'm starting to collect just a few small bits of vintage feathers and doo-dads with the intentions of making my own fascinators. Also, found this cute little cocktail hat. (Pardon the rumpled sheets)
Also, just starting to re-collect proper underpinnings and add to my growing...
My husband is starting his evening classes this tuesday. Wish I'd thought to make plans while he was on his holiday break. Otherwise,I would have loved to meet you out.
What a stunning sweater and that shade is lovely. I do like like the idea of a black pencil skirt as Retrogirl1941 suggested, perhaps belt the waist to give it a more 50s silhoette. It would work beautifully with a chocolate brown 1940s inspired princess cut skirt or wideleg trousers as well.
Thank you! It's different again, but I have yet to take any new pics.
To keep this on topic i have 2 shoots in the works now,but we are waiting til we have better weather.
When I started dancing I never took a partner with me. In fact, once I did partner up I felt a bit pigeonholed. Now that I am married and my husband is my partner(my favorite partner) there are only a select few who still ask. Though ,we go out rarely and there's only a select few left that I...
KittyT- I didn't realize that I forgot to mention where I ordered it from. It is from Target in Women's Clearance under Isaac Mizrahi(with shipping it rounds up to $19). All of his things are on clearance since 2008 was his last year.
I'm torn! I think it would look a bit costumey since you chose the same blue gingham which makes it so identifiable. It is a perfectly wearable look for the period and I do adore Dorothy,so I would personally find it adorable and wouldn't judge you.
If you're nervous,perhaps a different fabric...
I love Origins, but haven't used them in ages.
Well,my New Year's Resolution is to set a weekly goal for myself and you have all inspired me to add some vintage beauty routine goals throughout the process.
Miss Golightly- That dress is perfection and definitely representative of your namesake.
I just ordered this online for Valentine's Day. It was $12.49. I already own it in purple, but I thought the pink would be perfect for the occasion.
Fact: gorgeous, incredibly photogenic, gives me serious stocking lust, and talented with a camera! (If you were'nt so darn likeable I think I'd hate you. ;))
LelaViavonie- thank you so much,it's very sweet of you to say!
TheShirt- I've been pretty scattered lately, but I lurk a bit. (:offtopic: Love your hair in your avatar)
Quitting isn't about a lack of confidence, but a shift in priorities. I've decided to continue through 2009,and then I'll...
Knock,knock...
Just an old friend stopping by.
These are from the last shoot that I did. I'm considering retiring from my modeling hobby.(Hmmm, can you really retire from a hobby?)
I was hoping to wait til my 40th birthday, but I'm feeling too distracted and I think these pics show it.
Just...
Oh,I love this set Girlies! (I had to throw the word girlies in there, because you both are epitomizing girly loveliness)
The hair, makeup, peignors are utter perfection. Great photography, too!
Absolutely lovely photos! This one is stunning and would have completely fooled me as an original.
I have that same little blue Issac Mizrahi dress. I love his dresses, but I swear his zippers were made by the devil as they are a devil to zip.:rage:
