A good friend of mine has has a business which imports products he has made to spec in China. He told me that the Chinese suppliers are very good at reproducing things in large volume at low cost but not so good when it comes to making changes. Changes require a supervisory trip to the plant...- gdc

I'm another LNL and have been collecting since last year. The most I've paid was $80 for a size 7 3/8 1940's Borsalino with a 2 1/4 brim. At a small shop in Nebraska I picket up a 1950's Stetson for a song because it was missing the liner. I also bought a Stetson box with ..........a liner... -

I thought I was 5'9" because that's what my driver's license says but the two inch difference should only account for about an inch from the waist up so I measured myself by putting a pencil mark on the wall just like my parents did. I'm more like 5'7" barefoot. Whatever..... All I know is...- gdc

I bought this incredible jacket from Jake and couldn't be happier. When I saw it listed for sale I immediately took some measurements and jumped on it. My only concern was that it might be a bit short in the back. Although it is only 24" I think it fits as it should. Sorry for the poor pics...- gdc

Can Anyone Pull Off a Wide-brim Fedora?
When I started wearing hats I felt self conscious in anything with a brim wider than 2 inches. This 1940's paragon is 2 3/4. Although I will occasionally wear a narrower brimmed hat I now prefer having more hat. -
