I've been scouring for outfits for a trip this summer and finally found something! Yay! Vintage 30s sweater dress from etsy :) I just need to make a belt. I'm thinking a contrast one.
I have these in brown and they're pretty good quality, though very narrow. I think they're from original vintage boots because I have an original and the fit and cut are the same.

Mary, that sweater is great! I love the buckle idea :)
Unfortunately, that site went down and when my last computer crashed I lost ALL the info I had put up :( I'll try to work on getting another sportswear page up this summer. I don't really know of other sites up that deal with 30s...
Only three little things, all handmade by me. Just posted them on etsy. If you've got an offer pm me on there.
Seems I've got a trend of plaid wool...
1930s Suit Dress
1940s Plaid Jumper Skirt
1940s Red Plaid Jacket So bummed this doesn't fit anymore!

Evadress is repros of vintage patterns with the original markings and instructions which can be a bit hazy depending on when they're from. If you want them with revised instructions and markings Decades of Style is a great company.
I found a great find today at an antique store, but I haven't had much luck searching out a value. Does anyone else have any experience with womens clothing and accessories from the 1939 World's Fair?
My find is a Persian lamb muff with a trylon and perishere zipper pull, on the back stamped...
Thanks gals! It only took me two years to get up the gumption to finish it. haha. I just plugged my ipod into an audio book and zoned out while following pre-drawn lines. Was a good relaxer from the work week ;)
Not a crush, per se, but I have to say Mr Darcy. And Edmund Bertram. And for a laugh, Bertie Wooster. And Jack Sparrow. And Roger Hamley. lol.
But, of course, I'd take my husband above all and he's a real life person :D and kind of a combination of all, of sorts.
lol I have McCall 1393! We can be twins! lol
I am LOVING that last suit. That's a super rare find. Yummy! I'm a sucker for patch pockets and belted back suits with back vents.
