Is the outside pocket a welt pocket? If so, the extra overlap is probably just to give ease in the pocket so it lays flat. How much to pay a tailor
If you want measurements taken you can go to someone who specializes in alterations, especially men's. I wouldn't go to just a laundromat, though. Unless it was a close friend I probably wouldn't give measurements to someone unless they paid me for my time. There's a lot more than chest... -
