You said 1340 not 1314. That was a whole different generation. :p

Say what you will about 1340's politics and health concerns, the chaperon was a pretty great look - and still hip, prior to it's eventual demise in the 1500s.

Dick Clark's first year hosting the New Year's celebration in 1346 was awful. He hit his stride by the 1360s.
