Ok so I am looking for vintage style satin or silk slips. I do not want vintage ones because I am to tall for most authentic vintage stuff. Any way I have been looking around and can't seem to find any good ones. If you know of anywhere I can find one please let me know.

Are you sure you're too tall? Most slips have adjustable straps. You can just head to the Goodwill and get one for a couple bucks to at least try. Unless of course you already have tried. If you have without success, try JC Penney or Sears. EDIT: Oh, and they did come in tall sizes back then. I just bought a "tall" slip at my local Salvation Army this weekend.

I have bought them but I am almost 6 feet tall so it really is quite a chalenge for me. And I am going to use these to sleep in, well for the most part. I feel like I should look and feel pretty in bed too.

Well, famously, Marilyn Monroe slept only in Chanel No. 5 ;)

We have slip patterns on our make - long blog http://frillybits.co.ukthat you could use - I am too tall and far too generously built for most of the ones you find vintage, so I made myself some. They're not that scary even if you're not used to sewing.
Hope that this helps x

I found a really pretty repro slip on sale at Anthropologie a few weeks back...that might be a place to look. :)

*raises hand* ooo! ooo! i have an idea!

you can buy vintage slip patterns on e-bay, and if you don't sew, find a friend that can and have him/her make it for you, that way you get it custom-made just to fit you, and friends are cheaper than dressmakers
(though you should defiantly reimburse your friend for his/her time and effort)
