Nice. I see it's bespoke. I've always been curious and slightly wary of secondhand bespoke garments. While they're usually very nicely made, I always wonder if buying something made for someone else's physical oddities would be worse than a RTW garment made for a theoretical average with no...
Not quite true. BB has two sizes of boys' ties. The smaller size is only suitable for very small boys. The larger of the boys' sizes is about the same width as (but shorter than) the BB University ties, which are narrower than the standard BB size.
Women have been wearing ball gowns (not to mention wedding dresses) in all shades of ivory, cream, champagne, ecru, etc., for decades. Centuries, maybe. Until the tailcoat began to die out, their beaus were expected to be in white tie as a matter of course.
That's right, they don't. White...
I don't know anything about Emporium Capwell. I do know, however, that Nino Cerruti was a brand of mediocre suits in the '70s and '80s. Thrift stores are full of 'em, and the ones I've seen haven't been very good quality.

That may not be an...
Just to point out...the men in these photos aren't wearing their trousers all at one uniform height. Yes, on average they're higher than one typically sees today, but not everyone is wearing their trousers up on their lower ribs.
Yes, BB is no longer what it once was. It began declining somewhat, as Marc notes, in the '60s, and that decline became a freefall in the '90s with their purchase by Marks & Spencer. However, in many people's opinions, things have begun to look up since their purchase by Claudio del Vecchio a...
