These are quite pricey given the ranges you were quoting, but just as an example of some handsome English shoes for a reasonable price for what they are ($150-160 a pair.)

wingtips (full brogues as I would call them):

Oxford brogues/half-brogues:

Balmorals(?)/Oxfords:

My Mason Shoe "Executive Imperial" size 14 EEE wingtip shoes (please excuse the dust, I just got back from a construction site inspection). These are good, sturdy shoes for about $100. I like the wingtip shoe, and have worn that style dress shoe for as long as I can remember. My dad always wore the Bostonian wingtip, as did I for many years, but I can't find that shoe now. I like a "heavy" shoe, and these fit that bill just fine.

im size 8 1/2 i think the reason why i say i think is that it depends because i my feet have no arch so it all depends on what feels better but i think 8 1/2 will do yea im not tall...lol but i am a bit heavy if that matters

Sorry, but I can't read posts that are written without punctuation and capitalization. It hurts my brain. [huh]

The USA is full of wingtips Florsheims et al at Goodwills - go there.

Re punctuation: you sound a bit like a Gen Y person.

Be careful that you are adapting texting/Gen Y type thinking to your postings. By that I mean "gotta go, things to do, places to see , people to meet" type behaviour - like my own sons. Slow down - take a breath - life ain't like that...

I'm going to emphasize what others have said here.

Check out Goodwill and other thrift stores. They are full of wingtips and other styles of shoes. I recently bought a pair of $300 Allen Edmond shoes for $4 at Goodwill. Take a look around.

I got a nice pair of Allen Edmunds Wingtips at OFAS for $20 and $10 S&H. They cleaned up like new and they were already broken in and fit like a glove.

THis is a follow-up to good advice previously posted.

Allen Edmonds, Alden, and Johnston & Murphy wingtips (US) can be found at prices far below retail on ebay. Do a search by manufacturer name and you'll eventually find a good deal.

If you have totally flat feet like me you're going to need a shoe with a relatively straight last, otherwise you'll put a lot of pressure on the pinkie toes (I'd guess your shoes bulge out at that spot, all mine do). Normal feet have sort of a bean-shape footprint, flat feet are are straight like swim fins.

I've found vintage Florsheims and current American-made Florsheims to be comfy for all-day-on-my-feet wear. And the U.S.-made Bostonians are outstanding for comfort and durability (but probably out of your price range unless you find them on closeout or at the thrift). Stay away from the Italian-made Bostonians, they use a different last that's too narrow and curved (painful lesson, that).

I know you want cheap shoes, but with feet like mine I've found it's way more comfortable to spend more for good-quality shoes. If you get 'em resoled and are diligent about polishing and upkeep they'll outlast cheapos many times over. I've had one pair of Bostonians in heavy use for 15 years, at least once a week people mistake them for brand-new.

Oh, and if you can find the Doc Marten wingtips they're relatively wide shoes but they tend to be roomy in the toe, which is good for feet like ours. I have a pair I scored for $60 at a closeout, they're great.

Good luck! And remember: Everybody notices a sharp outfit, but girls ALWAYS notice good shoes. :D
