It's also a good treatment for poison oak - passed on from generations of loggers in my family.

Thanks, that refreshes my memory from your web page. I'll look it up. I guess I now have at least two projects inspired by your collection. I'd better get busy - I just need more time to chase my own rainbows. I'll need more hardwood. Do you think walnut would be appropriate? I've got a...

A hat creaser is maybe more of a hat owner's tool than a hatter's tool, but it is an interesting item that seemed ubiquitous in the American Hatter at the turn of the century. This is the first I've been fortunate enough to find, and at only $7.50, to boot. Here's one I don't own...

Does that round table actually rotate? I noted that you compared it to a Lazy Susan on your web page. "Faint hat never won fair lady."

    Roxford hats

Here's the one I grabbed for you today. Looks like 1930's to me, but I'm no expert. It's in pretty good shape, only $20.00. It needs maybe a little tape or glue at one spot in the base. I suggest hot glue & will do it if you want. PM your address if you want the box, and let me know if you...

    German & Austrian Hutmachers

Olė, maybe more of your countrymen need to harken back to the glory days when all of Europe paid the Danegeld tribute to avoid invasion, and/or paid the Danes to protect them from others. That culture owes nothing to France or Germany. "Faint hat never won fair lady."

Oliver, I remember checking your web site out once before, but am even more impressed now that I've made some hats. Wow. I'd love to just watch you work & look at your tools.

    Roxford hats

Saw a Roxford hat box today in an antique store. It had the Knox "Moveo et Proficio" legend on it. It was a good price, but can't recall exactly (I bought a two hat Knox box for $10.00) PM me if you want me to go back for it... "Faint hat never won fair lady."

Thanks, I feel a little silly ;-) Here's an old wooden candle stick I converted to a spinner with an oak dowel. It's a little light on the bottom, but I'll glue it to a heavier piece. Finished it off with some parrafin wax. "Faint hat never won fair lady."

Straight out of the book! Beautiful. Please PM or post a link to your website, I've gotta check it out! I think what I'm looking at is a plant stand - it looks a lot taller. "Faint hat never won fair lady."
