Figured I should list this one: "Hank Williams: The Concert He Never Gave." Set in New Years Eve, 1952, it has Hank Williams being driven to what would have been his last concert but he's thinking about the concert that he'd like to give rather than the auditorium he is heading toward. To...
Like Blade Runner, Soylent Green gives such a bleak view of the future. It's always amazed me how few people I meet have seen Soylent Green. I used to use Charlton Heston's line at work..."Soylent Green is ------!" (Don't want to spoil the film.) Got more blank looks than I can remember...
Both already mentioned. Both excellent films but very, very somber.

I'm now reading 11/22/63 and thoroughly enjoyed the first half. It would seem, however, that I'm having a hard time staying interested now that 'George' is spending his time tracking Oswald. I am finding the second half to be somewhat tedious. I could easily see myself closing it one of these...
Trying not to be too cynical, but I suspect that they'd only be concerned if they thought they could've received more money for the item. Quite a few people place little or no value, either monetary value or emotional value, on 'old' things. Sad, but true.
I well remember obtaining a lovely...
