I'm ill and not up to much cooking, so it was just a simple bachelor chow of pizza rolls tonight.

I hope you feel better Tommy!

I'll bite (no pun intended). Manicotti are baked Italian crepes stuffed with cheese, meat, or sausage. Manicotti is related to cannelloni with difference being that cannelloni is a large tubular pasta while manicotti are crepes.

Thank you for answering V.C. :) Mine were just cheese.

Aha, thank you! Never came across that in Italy, but that could be because I've only visited the wrong regions. Anyway, sounds delicious. I love crêpes.

Try them some time Flicka! They're really good :)

Is it chicken feet H Herdick? It could be tripe, enlighten us :)

l o l ly_loisides, you're right, it is chicken feet. Very, very welmade. This is just a bit to show, but actually we had a big bowl of them. Most European don't like chicken feet, except the Spanish IMHO, but I love it, especially made in this way.

Tonight, my wife is making a sort of chinese soup from 'rice-crackers'.

I've only had chicken feet in Thailand - never came across them here - but I liked them well enough. But then we've established from before that I like weird things (as my Thai friend would call it: 'inside of animal').

Right now it's Mrs. Hood's home made vegetable soup, with a starter base of V8 juice, followed by corn, black eyed peas, lentils, green beans, peas, potatoes, and carrots. This is night number two, and it tastes better the next day. I'm going back for another bowl after posting~
