OK, so I've been using a lot of Royal Crown Pomade lately. I'm down to about half the tin actually. How does their "Dressing" compare with the "Pomade" product? Is it shinier, less shiny, more hold, or less hold? Thanks.
Hmm, well although I personally don't feel ready to do it yet, at least on purpose, I wouldn't mind being bald someday... I think it's better than doing a combover, or looking like I'm actually losing hair. One positive is that I will actually have a very good reason to wear a hat. Anytime...
I'm not absolutely positive, but I think since some point, my hairline has been receding. That, or is it just the widow's peak or high forehead? What do you think's happening to the hairline? Am I balding at the age of 21...
Both, eventually, would not be a bad idea at all. While navy is a nice color, and I agree with its versatility, I was thinking of some sort of grey suit to start with. Is this an example of mid or charcoal grey, by the way? This film suit has been a rather inspiring design for a while. It looks...
While it's nothing to be proud of... I don't own a suit. I used to, a black polyester thing I wore on cruise dinner nights since a few years ago, then I lost a massive amount of weight (40-50 lbs). Which color would be the most versatile for me to start out with? I've pretty much ruled out...
I'm sorry for being in this section, but I just wanted to point out that Reese Witherspoon was great in Walk the Line (2005), and she had a good period style throughout the film. I think it's cool that she is sporting a classic look outside the context of a film role.
So, are there any pictures of your jacket?
I know this is an old thread, but I was almost thinking of trying to find a way to shrink my own G-1 a bit. Not as drastically as you did, but would putting it in the dryer after it had got wet (with cold water) a bit work, or would I risk destroying...
Lol, Jersey Shore reference. I don't watch that myself, but I have actually seen J-Wow at a book signing. I might watch a couple episodes out of curiosity some time.
But I haven't been wearing a hat as often these days either. I'm not exactly sure why, but some days I feel too lazy to wear one...
Off topic, but I was browsing a couple of YouTube videos of The Godfather Part II video game; their character customization, and in particular the hair styles they had available for you to choose. The people behind this game sure haven't done their homework with regard to period authenticity...
Just my opinion, while trench coats can look sharp, summer is probably the one time of the year that they would look most out of place, outside of rainy or cold weather. I don't think a black trench coat would be very practical either, as it would attract the most heat. Do you own a light tan or...
I don't have that particular jacket, but it looks good. Lots of pockets. I have this one below:

Mine doesn't have as many pockets, but it has kept me surprisingly warm this winter skiing in the mountains! Of...
I'm still up, it's 1:38 AM over here, and I'm trying to finish my English research paper. It must be turned in tomorrow... I have three or four more pages to go...
So, I take it that Don Draper will no longer be wearing that suit again? Did the producers consider it too outdated for the next season?
But you were able to get this of all things, that's great! It looks nice, and I hope it fits you well.
Good question, I've got some on my hand that I have to deal with, myself. Basically, all of my four or five ties are wrinkled. At least four are silk, and one is microfiber (polyester).
That jacket reminds me a bit of the WWII tanker and A-1 jacket. Looks like a comfortable, and practical design. Is this really supposed to be the first U.S. Navy issued flight jacket?
You know what, I would say go ahead and try to pursue your relationship, assuming that he is dear to you, and means much in your life. That is what love is composed of, a longing; a devotion.
I personally have my own rather twisted, pessimistic views regarding this sort of thing for myself (not...
