Nice Nostalgia jbucklin, it's a nice hat and I enjoy mine.

DJH, I really like that bow on your Tumwater.

Alexander - you'll notice even the nice hat couldn't make me smile.

randooch - I was getting the Plus - $4.04 today at Shell. There is a big variation (up to $0.15 per gallon) between the different oil companies prices in our town.

Link - thanks. That triple bow is a trade mark of Tony's - both my Tumwater hats have it.

A few photos from a long week of work and rain in the big apple. Finding a hotel for four is always a challenge - this year we found a reasonable rate at the historic Waldorf-Astoria.

I traveled with a hatbox and four hats, but wound up in a rain hat much of the time.:(

I've bought quite a few hats that were less expensive than this glass of port.

Cole Porter lived at the Waldorf for many years... legend has it that he composed many songs at the keyboard of this old Steinway.

My favorite thing to do in NYC is walk. From the Waldorf to the Javits Center is a couple of miles. I enjoyed the route downtown on the east side, through the Helmsley, Grand Central Station and the Pan Am building (I think most call it the Met Life building now).

The view looking up Park Avenue from my hotel window was a picture... wish I could've opened the window.

The Stationery Show was brisker than in recent years.

But our industry still has its poignant moments.

The scale in that shot of the corner of Grand Central is fantastic. Great set all around.

Thank you. I enjoy making mosaics. The corner shot is two frames up and down, the long one, five shots with the camera in a vertical format.

The best trick, though, is leaving my camera on a ledge and having it still there after the self timer goes off.
