Never thought I'd say it in this manner, but congratulations on the destruction of your high school education! May you continue to destroy your life in the manner you see most fit!

A late night bite at Mickey's Diner after the Minnesota Orchestra concert Saturday night.

Reluctant initially to take my hat into this greasy spoon, it just seemed to be a fitting place to wear a hat while dining, and so I did.

Mirror reversed self portrait in the dining car.

Sunday at supper, during a break in the stormy weather we had all weekend.

congrats! Nice hats, nice guitars, nice pipes! I've been so consumed by unique briars and meerschaums as of late that I've forgotten about the cool simplicity of a corn cob-- thanks for reminding me! I know what I'm doing this afternoon.

Ed: Thanks, and you're right, of course. :)

jbucklin: My humble thanks for your kind comments. Great Nostalgia over the weekend, by the way, and definitely my favorite of the contemporary Stetson felts!

Awesome pictures, delectans!! Your photography always amazes me. No matter what the lighting condition, you always have a perfect picture. I'm still drooling over that Caxton, its such an amazing hat. Like I said before, that crease suits it perfectly. I always love when lounge members take photos of themselves in diners, wearing hats. Like The Wiser Hatter said, "that hat was made to wear eating in a diner." That whole scene of neon lights, flashy chrome, and fedoras, just invokes wonderful feelings of nostalgia of days gone by. That hat looks perfect on you! Great job!! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

I haven't gotten a new hat worth posting in a good while, but here's one I've put up before -
Stetson Playboy.

My first Italian..HAT!

Oh my this is a really nice felted hat. Jeepers, way different than any of the hats I have owned up to this point. The Borsalino Alessandira is totally supple and limp, but not limp in any way. Before I get too far, here is the hat;

I do not know much about the brand and model. I spent several hours going thru the thread on this forum, The Borsalino Brotherhood. As a result of the looking/reading, I know more in general, but not so much more about my hat. The best I can acertain it is a Allessandria model. The color is a gray with green hints in it. More cool hue than warm. The last pic is the closest to the actual color. It does look different in direct sunlight. The ribbon says Borsalino. The wind trolley can really messed up and I worked with it to the best of my knowledge.

I need to give it thorough cleaning, but I have to say it is just plain EASY wearing. It fits and feels light. It wears smooth. Only good things about this hat so far.

Thanks for looking and sharing my hat today. Eric -

Josh: Thanks again for your kind words! I think I will put together a hats and diners retrospective eventually.

Alex: Thank you! I think I am having a brainstorm right now regarding the get together ;)

Eric: Congrats on a very nice looking Alessandria! Super smooth, soft, and light felt. Tough to beat, and one of Borsalino's perennially most popular models.
