If your referring to me (The wiser Hatter) the Tesi Comet is a medium close weave. Held up to a light not a lot of light shines through. It is not any hotter than a brisa weave panama while having a tighter weave.

I finished this one yesterday. 2-3/4" brim, 6-1/4" crown open [creased 4-3/4" front 4-1/4" back, pure beaver rust body.

I'm really cheating here, I called at home to take my dogs out and I had a package from TonyB waiting.

I only had a couple of minutes, but I couldn't leave without trying on the hat. I'll post proper pics and crease the hat this evening.

I don't think I've ever seen a bowler/derby with such a wide ribbon, it looks fantastic. Any idea how old?

Thanks! My guess is around 1910 maybe a bit earlier. I really like the low profile and it's light weight for a Bowler.
