I'm a '90s kid myself (born in 1989), and I can see some of the reasoning behind this. I don't really have faith in much of the new generation (born 2000 or after), but I think even the generation x or millennial generation was bad enough for the world to endure. Lots of people in my own age...
Yeah, for at least one or two hats in my collection, I would like to gradually acquire that sort of look, if not to the point of the ribbon falling off and the brim warped beyond recovery. Your hat still looks like it could be restored, if you wanted to. On another note, someday I've got to get...
I've got to get myself a flat cap or newsboy one of these days. Your picture is very inspiring, as a cap like those could go with almost anything and look right.
I just got back from some hill hiking in my modern Stetson Open Road. I left around 8:00, and it almost got too dark on me up there, so I'm glad I turned around when I did. Got back fifteen minutes ago.
Well, I think your hat would be right at home on the head of a spaghetti western character, and I mean that as a compliment. I enjoy seeing what happens to hats after enduring rugged, rough conditions.
The Good: I like to believe that I'm friendly, presentable in appearance, approachable, calm, cool, and collected.
The Bad: Although I'm normally calm, I'm prone to some bouts of anger when pushed far, and I am quite a worrier when it comes to depressing and embarrassing situations, like a bad...
I'm sure with Mad Men influencing some of today's suit/dress fashions and trends, there's got to be a certain pride to owning a piece worn by the iconic Don Draper character, wouldn't you say? You basically own what this crowd has been deriving inspiration from for the past three or four years now.
That's a very impressive suit, even if it doesn't quite fit right. You should keep it anyway, for the Mad Men association if nothing else. It looks good on you from the pictures, though.
Looks like it may be time to consider a haircut. It's been just about two months since I received one.

I can see how somebody in charge of the thing must have thought it was cool or good looking, aesthetically fit for the guards, but like others here mentioned, it carries with it some political baggage associated with communism. It does look menacing and imposing, which I would guess is the...
I was not personally around during the time, much less New York. I guess good old Wikipedia could be of some help, to get started:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City_blackout_of_1977
I never cite directly from Wikipedia itself, but what I do for my own research projects, is that I...
J0shtafarEYE, I found a picture of what you mean, Henderson's hat in The Mummy (first one).
Looks like a neat outback/western style, and has a wide brim. Too bad it's the only picture I could find, since it's only a partial shot. But I saw the movie recently, so I knew what hat you meant...
Done's a strong word, but I think I would have a good idea of when to tone it down a notch by the point I've got as many hats as days of the week. I don't aspire to be as big a collector as some here, I just want a handful that I like, and would actually wear.
No offense to anybody, but the guys on that website remind me too much of exaggerated, leather-clad members of the Village People. I can't judge the quality of their leather though, I have no experience with it.
I've got tons of soundtracks, or pieces from one. Here are just some of the following:
The Godfather
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
For a Few Dollars More
Once Upon a Time in the West
Django
Le Samourai
Les Aventuriers
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Thunderball
The...
I went to a Best Buy once, and saw one of those too. Not something I care for. I'm not completely opposed to 3D when it's done right though. It should be entertaining, but it shouldn't detract from the storyline either, nor be the sole focus of the movie. I don't consider 3D films really capable...
My favorite's the teardrop crease. Two of my felt hats (and one wool) have them, and it's the one that I think looks the best on me. I don't really go for the tall crowned look, at least not more than 4 1/2 inches. A teardrop comfortably resting on my head in terms of size, and being at 4 to 4...
