Well done, JTL! My suspicions have been gracefully confirmed.

I've been recently trying to describe some shelving space to my wife but I don't think she's sailing my ship. Once she sees this - Oh, my! Oh, yes! Plain white, Hmmmm.... :eusa_clap
I was scrolling bottom to top, of course, since my click took me to the last post. When I arrived at this pic with the frayed ribbon I had a gut feeling that it belonged to you, ScottF - wonder why? :)
The frayed bow is all the more interesting given the young (for you) vintage of the hat.
I haven't been watching lately but I'm sure you took that one for a fair market price. ;)
I love green hats. I love Whippets!

Some feathers are more rugged than others. Tail feathers from game birds are especially rugged.
It's well known that in Arkansas they wear pheasant or turkey feathers in their hats for self-defense. You mess with one of these guys and you'll end up with a feather going back and forth through...
I see turquoise in stripes (ties and shirts mostly) all the time. It will start to come out solidly now that spring is arriving. :)
This is the first I've ever seen in herringbone, though. :eusa_clap
