OK then! I just saved some money!
I'm starting to pay more attention to the higher quality westerns in smaller sizes. I need to find a deal like this for a professional conversion.
Felt hats will give off different hues in different light. This seems to be most pronounced in lighter shades in my experience. Silver belly in particular because it is about the lightest shade except for white. Notions of silver belly as a color itself can vary from a whiteish, to greyish, to...
You just brought up a good selling point there, Scott.
"Now see, Honey, we can put our hats on this wall and our shoes on this wall." :D
Sorry to whoever has to sleep in that spare bedroom if they find it creepy.
Good point, JP.
I'd think there are lots of new ties out there that would make excellent hat bands, you know, tachy stuff that goes on sale that no one would wear around their neck, or cheapo ties at Wallyworld or Target, etc.

OK, I see I missed the lavender. This is one I'd sure want to see in person or in better light and lens.

You are coming on strong with the straws lately, MW! :eusa_clap
Here's a couple of dogs with some field heritage. A Springer and a Whippet.
A true work of perfection that nose is! :D
Yup...
The ribbon's got me singing the theme song from the Bat Man (Adam West), TV series.
Da nananananana... Da nananananana thumpity smash...
Welcome to the lounge, b6. :D
Methinks the more recent Cuenca's are mostly bleached. Panama Bob can explain this.
The vintage Stetson I posted is indeed a Cuensa but was not bleached. I can't verify that it might have been dropped into a dye vat, though.
Cool! :cool2:
Can't speak for the hat in question but I do like your attitude, Spellflower!
My 2 cents is that when things get sweltering I want a straw hat with holes woven in, just a line or so towards the top of the crown, for daytime anyway.
Once the sun goes down and things cool...
