Here's where I got my tail coat and accessories for Friday dinner on the Queen Mary. Not perfect, but it did look pretty darn good.

Click on "Tuxedo Tails." I got the "Milan."
On the Queen Mary I found myself wishing I had cards with the Fedora Lounge URL on them, as a lot of people were asking "What's with the hats." I think we may pick up a few new members. We really took that ship over! :)
Thanks for the tips, Howard. I've been meaning to quit, or at least cut down on the cigarettes and go back to a pipe.
That nasty juice was one of the reasons I never stuck to pipes.
What hats will you be bringing to the Queen Mary this Friday?
I decided to rent a car for the weekend, as I wasn't looking forward to driving my little pickup all around the L.A. Basin. I should have enough room for half a dozen hats or so. I haven't decided which ones to bring, but I'm...
I can't imagine wearing a felt hat in the steaming jungles of Southeast Asia, but there it is. I wish it fit, but I'm afraid to stretch it.
It's definitely my oldest hat, and I love just having it as an historical artifact even if I can't wear it.
I'm up to five Borsalinos, including my "Spaghetti Western" that looks just like an Open Road, my two Homburgs (black and grey) that were first sold in Trieste, (the southern end of Churchill's "Iron Curtain,") as well as my shackle-curled light grey fedora that came from French Indochina, and...
That is a great hat. I love my brown fedoras, too. I'm generally to be found in "earth tones," my favorite Indy Magnoli suit is a brown pinstripe, and I've accumulated several brown Stetsons, a Dobbs with a Guild Edge, a medium-brimmed Borsa and a tan Stephen L. Stetson that go great with it.
I soloed back in '81, and passed my FAA written, but the money ran out before I could get my ticket.
I doubt I'd fit into that 152 any more, it was a squeeze back then. If I did it again, I'd probably have to rent a 172. Back then, I got some brochures for the Bellanca Decathlon, and I...
Really? My biggest problem with pipes is that horrid juice that collects in the stem, and a bent seems to do a better job of keeping it away from my mouth.
