    Hatless Future: Self-Fulfilled Prophecy?

I was watching North by Northwest on TCM yesterday, and I felt sorry for Cary Grant, standing in that cornfield in the hot sun with no hat. Also, have you noticed that car rooflines are creeping back up? I think the "baby boomers" are getting tired of folding themselves up to get into a car.

    Did you know???

I got some Wildroot in the plastic bottle with the '70s-looking logo, and I love it. Used sparingly, it's not greasy at all.

Oops! Did that just come out of my mouth?!

I've been known to say "Heavens to Murgatroyd" on occasion. It's nicer than "Holy (doo-doo)" or "Son of a (lady dog)."

New acquisition: Scott & Co top hat

Excellent! I love top hats, wish I had an excuse to wear 'em more often.

I don't know about having to wear a black hat with a black suit, I usually wear grey with mine.

Is it a little noisy in here??

Anybody have good stock tips for companies that make hearing aids? I predict a boom in that market, no pun intended. lol

    I've got the bug.

I love finding open-crowned hats on the Bay. The casual shopper doesn't know what to make of them, so you can get a better deal. And, of course, putting your own shape in them is half the fun. :) Great hats!

    An Adam for Adams.

Great hat! I have three Adam hats, two fedoras and a top hat. Adam hats were very popular, they were lower-priced than the higer end Stetson and Dobbs hats but had plenty of style. I think people bought them and wore them a lot, and there aren't as many left for that reason. I think the...

Am I truly a "Golden Era" guy?

If I were dropped into 1938, I'd be a hell of a national security problem, given what I know about D-Day, the Manhattan Project and jet engines. lol

For your consideration: The comeback of the hat?

I used to have several stingies, but I've sold three of them to friends for whom they're much better suited. This one is about the only stingy that looks halfway right on me. Brim width is 1-3/4": I also have a few hats in the 2-1/4" to 2-3/8" brim range, which work much better for me.

Hitler's Race Car to be auctioned

I've loved those magnificent Auto Unions for decades, and this is the first I've heard about any specific Hitler connection. Hitler didn't even drive, and he was certainly no engineer.

    Determining Felt quality?

The hat in my avatar is a green Resistol Kitten Finish, but it's not really... Is it?

Just a wool raincoat from the 40's

I don't think so. That thing's too big to be a ciggy, anyway.
