If links are to pictures or pages posted by members or those outside the Lounge there's nothing we can do about it. The Internet is a moving target. Pictures are deleted, pages move and hosting services go under. Such is life.
Thanks, guys!
This is one I've had for awhile, but I hadn't posted it in this thread and since I've been playing around with my camera I figured I'd put them up here. I've got some new/better pics of my johnnyphi Adam I'll post soon.
I've been playing around with taking hat pictures and thought I'd throw the new photos of my johnnyphi Schoble up here. This came open crown and I added this dry diamond bash.
I'm putting this as a sticky temporarily in hopes of bringing attention to it. I have also added a direct link to the book to the Important Links thread. I'll release this from being stickied after awhile, but the direct link will remain.
^Dinerman, those look very similar to a pair of vintage Nettletons I once had.
It's tough to date Florsheim longwings since essentially the same design has been in production for decades (a good thing). What do the soles look like? If they have an all leather heel with a v-cleat then that...
Great finds. That Swaine Adeney Brigg label makes me swoon. Dinerman (of course) has a Borsalino with the laced sweatband, too. It's an interesting system, and also interesting that the bow remained even after the laces were gone.
I love the Portis and the Dobbs.
^OR's did have varying brim widths, though, didn't they? I think if anything would make it no longer an OR it would be the ribbon change. I'd have a hard time calling that an OR, though.
Be sure to get that straight before they come for the hat census. ;)
I doubt you're going to get much consensus on that. I would think the best you could do would be to look at a classic hat like a Whippet.
Just to show the lack of consensus, I would think a more classic brim width would be 2.5".
Good grief, people! The Lounge goes down and y'all go hat nuts. :eusa_doh:
A Borso pocket hat is on my list of 'hats I'd love to have'. And Lefty, that chamois hat is amazing. I can't wait to find out more.
There is supposed to be a hat in the mail to me, which I know won't fit. Still...
I don't recall if I've posted these here or not, but this is a vintage pair I've had for awhile. I'm playing around with a new photography set up and thought I'd post this test shot.
^I think I might have sided with the turtle.
Perhaps Stetson should have tried a catch, shave and release program with those beavers. ;)
As for nutria, it is puzzling why the resource of what is otherwise a pest is not used by Winchester or Stetson. It has been reported by some of our...
