I wear a UK 7.5, but my vintage grey spats are labled 9. I have a pair labled 11 (Bond Street, I think) that are actually too small. It might be better to go by direct measurement than size, just for those companies that seem to have had their own system.
1 double breasted suit
4 three piece suits
1 stroller
2 summer suits
Plus 1 navy blazer, two tweed sportcoats, and some odd trousers for outfits.
Which is to say, not nearly enough.
Many thanks, gents! herringbonekid, I will see if that will work when I fit the next one. It may have been a basting problem here, I'm not sure. It didn't show up until after I made the buttonholes and removed the basting. Sew and learn, the next'll be better.
I went through my ties and found a few I don't wear much, so I'm making room.

I've got some more things up on eBay right now that may be of interest.
A black bowler from Dunn & Co, 23" circumference, with a union stamp. Very good condition, though there is a slight dent in the crown, though not serious...
I finally finished the blue suit I started three (!) years ago. The trousers and waistcoat I made back then, the jacket was made over the last couple months. I had put the fabric away and just never got back to it. The trousers are the Eva Dress '30s pattern, the waistcoat is a copy from an...

So far it's working well, but I haven't subjected it to daily use and weather yet.
Regarding Hndlebars' smell, to me it smells like band-aids or freshly-opened gauze. Not unpleasant and not noticeable after two minutes.
I have a steel tube Fox, and I like it a great deal. I had a wood-shaft Fox (not solid stick) which was also slender, though not as much, but it got holes in the canopy and I ended up selling it. I don't worry about sturdyness when walking since I don't put any real weight on it.
I've not yet tried either Foad or Natty Twizzle. I was going to get a tin of NT, but ended up getting a tin of Superior Moustache Wax on a glowing recommendation. Have you looked at the Handlebar Club forum? There's discussion of both those waxes, expecially Natty Twizzle.
I just had my pince nez re-glazed in a new prescription. It's the second time I've had new lenses from this optician, and the first time there was no problem, and my wife has had three pairs of vintage spectacles glazed by them with no problem. But this time they really put my pince nez...
Bounder has a better hold than Firehouse (both Dark and Wacky Tacky), but Firehouse has better lasting power than Bounder in wet conditions. Hndlebars is the best all-around wax I've used, stiffer than Firehouse but with its water-resistant quality. Both Firehouse and Bounder can leave a bit of...
It'll be part of a suit, though I'll wear it as an odd jacket, too. I made the waistcoat and trousers about 3 years ago and only just got around to the jacket.
