I agree with this, and think it's the perfect way to have "custom" worn/distressed jeans at a non bank breaking price. I prefer spending as little as possible on jeans, but not discount store Wrangler or Levi Strauss Signature jeans.
Gap mens jeans are, in my experience all a little flared...
Thanks!
[I'll let you in on a secret regarding the choice to sepia tone it... I looked like Casper in color, for some reason in the bright sunlight, the white around me really took over.]
Just thinking off the top of my head, but it might be a store brand [made by another manufacturer, but a "house" brand for Monnig's]. Like I said, just a thought.
I'm sure others will chime in on this. Hope you get something more concrete!
Randy
Lefty taught me how to do it... you write what you want to, then highlight it and hit the URL tag button up there and insert it... it then turns your text into the link!

I can't wait. Even after I sprung for Expedited post, it was just a hair over $120 USD! By a hair, I mean $120 and change. [I'm used to HD's $130 + with the cheapest route shipping!]

It's nice to read something pleasant, thanks for posting this! :eusa_clap I agree that even though they're the distributor for Akubra stateside, they didn't have to direct you to another retailer. Most would just say tough luck and go about their business. I believe my next Akubra will be from...
I like it on you now, too.
Also, the work you did with the LR made a world of a difference. Do you have an off your head or shot of the work you did on the center dent?

Did Anyone Hear a Gunshot?!
'Cause I just pulled the trigger on a Bluegrass Green Campdraft. :D I don't know about anyone else, but I heard a pretty loud shot... you know, Indiana Jones Nepalese bar in-your-face loud style.:D

Thanks, Mr. E, Neophyte! I'm quite pleased with the hat. I was going for a sloppy, quick and dirty pinch and crease. The hat just begged for it.
Randy
P.S Now I have Springsteen's Ghost of Tom Joad stuck in my head lol
Resistol San Antonio
Went on a day trip to Micanopy, Florida and then made a stop by Cross Creek's Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historical Site.
Seemed like a great day to debut my latest acquisition, a Resistol San Antonio
On the steps of Rawlings' home...
I had several "nice hat" comments...
To me, the crown height just doesn't fare well with the cattleman look. I had a hard time making the crown on my CD look lower and failed. It's not really THAT tall, more of an illusion of height, especially on the Silverbelly.
Oh, have you seen the Boss of the Plains? I'd be tempted by this...
I must have linked to it before. Yeah, it's a B&W shot, and I agree it makes the color look quite amazing... yes even Stetson-like.
Thanks, monbla256. I sold it earlier this year... wish I hadn't now. :eusa_doh: I hope you share pics of the Stetson when you get it. That makes for a special...
I still don't get what you're trying to prove with these measurements. [huh]
BLOCK SHAPE IS KEY HERE... They may have the same specs, but are different hats produced on different blocks. The Bushman is straighter sided than the Squatter...
Randy
It doesn't matter if the crown heights are the same... the block shape is different on each of these. The CD and Bushman are straighter sided than the quite tapered Squatter... in the side by side I posted up there there is noticeably a difference between them. [huh]
I have owned both hats and the CD and Squatter are nothing alike. Matter of fact, I have a photo of the CD and Squatter together, let me go dig it up.
Silverbelly Campdraft, Dark Brown Federation IV Deluxe, and Carbon Grey Squatter
And I agree with Neo, the Bushman and CD are although...
Gotcha. The short nature of your comment piqued my curiosity. I can completely understand where you're coming from.
I'd go to more vintage hats, but I'm like Barney Fife in that I don't like other people wearing my hat and vice versa. I like having sweat stains that are my own, not ones that...
