.... Rittenhouse ? It was my father's "good" hat he wore to Mass on Sunday's etc. It was bought by him at Monnig's Mans Store in Ft.Worth ( Monig's was a primo locally owned Dept. Store down here and they closed in the late 80's as I recalled) back in February of 1947 . It is made out of some of the softest and smoothest finished felt equal to his 1960's Borsolino I still have. It has a center dent/ long front pinched crown w/ some taper to it side/side. it is 5" at the sides of the front pinches and has a 2 5/8" bound edge. The edge ribbon is a grey/tan color ( both sides) and it has a dark chocolate 1 5/8" grossgrain band w/bow. The overall color is a dark tan. What I would call a light fawn in Akubra terms. Sorry I don't have pics as I am digitally impaired camera wise but mainly want to find out info on the firm that made it . Has anyone here heard of the Rittenhouse brand ? BTW, I still wear it to Mass and for "good" occasions as he did
