hmm I've never heard of Guernsey sweaters, I thought you were referring to cows. Had to google them. You're referring to these, right? I see a few I like in there.

I think the light sand Saddle Bronc is my favorite. I'm not big on contrast binding, but that one does something for me. The tanbark is cool, too.

I'm currently that way with a 60's Resistol stingy brim that I own... I don't like it ON me, I just REALLY like the hat. I fear if I sell it, I'll regret it... but if I don't wear it, to me it's being wasted.

Leave it to Beaver
I find it humorous that Australians [I always feel funny calling them Aussies... I feel too much like a Yank to do that] want Americanized "western" hats while we want Outback styled hats.
Hope that they branch into country or fedora styles with the beavers!
Thanks for...
That's really fantastic looking! I like it even better in sunlight, though the color is a bit of a surprise.
You do look like a very happy new hat owner, too!
Randy
Firstly, WELCOME to the Lounge!
You're on the right track in considering Akubra. I own two at present, but have owned 6-7 total over the last few years. [With plans to buy several more in the very near future]
Fur felt is unless stated otherwise, rabbit. There are many other furs used for...

It looks really good is why I asked. I think it works well as is, but know what you mean about tweaking it.
I'm really really fighting the purchase of a bluegrass, but really, I don't know why. [huh]
Randy
That looks REALLY sharp! :eusa_clap You look great in all your hats. Did you do any bash modifications to it, or just pop the factory crease back in when you corrected the shipping damage?
Randy
Isn't Dynafelt and Morfelt the same thing? If so, I have a Morfelt that I bought on a questionable whim, it's not the worst thing I've seen, but not the greatest.
Yours isn't bad looking at all. Thing is, WE are more conscious of "bad" hats than anyone else... the regular guy you meet...
Thanks, I do believe I could pull this off now that I see it on a real head!
I didn't think the stone would float my boat until I saw it on yours. I think it DOES make a perfect little touch to pay homage to the area this hat is named after.
Randy
Thanks for the info, it's really helpful. I was thinking I might would try to more with the side dents were I to buy one... Not that it looks bad now!
I can agree with this comment. As it ages, my Heritage Federation is getting a little fuzzier when you give it a really close inspection. [note...
