Thanks for the update Pop. Looks like a good time. There are some interesting new smokes coming out this year. I also here the recent crops should make for some excellent smokes for several years to come.
As also looking forward tom trying to the line from Cuban Imports. Their previous...
mmmmmmmmmm bloom is good. :eusa_clap
PAN's and PAM's are both good. I really enjoy the standard Padron 2000 and 3000 also. I had a Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte yesterday, which is great inexpensive smoke.
We have gone from knowledge doubling every 25 years 150 years ago to every 7 yrs by the late 70's, to every 5, 8 yrs ago, to every 3 now. We may not even be able to comprehend what inventions the future may hold.
The increasing use of bio nano technology will usher in the next great wave of...
What is your system for hydration. I prefer drymistat tubes and silica engineered beads. Avallo is here in Nashville. They make one of the best cabinet humis and active systems available. Even still find a $50 cooler and beads works better than most evrerything else I have seen.
I think Pop's salt test explanation was aimed at another poster above who questioned whether his hygro was actually correct and how could he find out. As I said a lot of it, is what suits you best. We simply stated what is preferred by te folks we know.
It may also be common with the low...
I'm not sure there isa huge debate about humi levels with Cubans v. non-Cubans. I keep all of mine the same, if I had any Habanos currently, they are illegal in the US you know. ;)
I think it comes down to the fact that Cuban smokers here in the US tend to be more finicky how their smokes are...
Lulu if it works for you great. But, Pop is right, from our experience dealing 90% in most of our polls, shows Habanos smokers favor 65%-68%, and the majority of cigar fans in general even with non Cubans prefer less than 70%.
The reason for this may be varied, for one thing they seem to age...
A stout Habano can indeed have that effect, especially if on an empty stomache. Remember this is still a living plant so to speak, bearing no resemblance to a cigarette. It is always fermenting and it is always (hopefully) humid. If it is green, or not fully fermented of its ammonia, it cvan...
Yah really. lol lol lol
Eat a good meal, then have a fine cigar. If you aren't inhaling you shouldn't pass out, that's for sure. A couple of good puffs a minute should do nicely. I have cigars that last 15-20 minutes and some that last close to 2 hours. I'm not a fast smoker. Having...
It's interesting how many different careers some have gone through to find the one they're in now. In my case its been several and I suspect I'm not done yet. Mine include:
Photographer- some sports, but mainly related to the music industry in Nashville, concerts, album covers and such...
An aerosopace professor of mine in college turned me on to Bach. The aircraft books were great.
So may books efftected me I'm not sure where to start, Farenheit 451 and Animal Farm early on. Certainly The Odyssey and Robinson Crusoe as well. Twain and Hemingway were great influences in my...
Many of my favorites have already been listed. One I did not see, though I may have missed, is Lowell Thomas. I have always enjoyed watching Movietone News clips with his voice in the background.
And though this is outside of movies per se, you have to love the voice of John Faccenda, the...
