The KitchenAid: Modern, Vintage or Timeless?

The large pro model still uses the steel gears. My old Hamilton Beach made in 1948 finally died last week.:( I had used it weekly since I acquired it from my grandmother when I got my first college apartment 20 something years ago. She bought it new when my dad was just a kid.

    Hats at Burlington Coat Factory

The fur felt Huckel is a nice hat for the money. I'm not big on their lines lower than the Huckel, but it is a nice and comfortable hat. They also have nice British drivers and such from time to time at excellent prices. it very hit and miss.

    Your Favorite Sandwiches?

I had some great BBQ in Seattle. I can't remember the name of the joint. It's somewhat near the park around the needle. I remember I walked there from my Comfot Inn hotel. It's owned by a couple of black fellas from Mississippi, just south of Memphis. The walls were painted with large...

I wll never understand my generation! Can someone please explain this to me

In general I agree with that statement completely. But things must be done with tact and kept in the place where they belong. When you refer to women in general in these types of terms in public one must be willing to be thought of in a negative light. Not you meant directed at you, you as in...

I wll never understand my generation! Can someone please explain this to me

In my opinion, it is the unfortunate by product of the rap culture, their music, videos and lifestyle example. Personally it disgusts me as does the 'old lady' term, which was a by product of the fascination with the biker lifestyle in the 1970's. Calling a woman you supposedly love a bitch...

David Morgan's "Explorer Hat" by Akubra

I will say it looks like a nice hat and I kind of like the slightly lower crown and brim that this appears to have. I'm sure they will sell a bunch of them in coming months with the re-emergence of the Indy series. I just doubt they will sell many to the old Group of people who helped...

    Don Williams Lid

He has had several of those hats. They are Stetsons. They are cowboy hats, but with shorter brims, then curled. A fellow in Nashville who owned a hat shop where I bought some of my hats years ago, did the shaping and aging on at least some the hats to look like his original hat looked.

    Remembering Elvis 30 Years On

Of course Elvis was country. All of the Memphis sound boys were country. They toured on country tours and played traditionally country venues. It wasn't until DJ's started calling them rock n roll that they started to develop into something different. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy...

    Hat Shops in Eastern Tennessee?

You might take a peek in some of the local antique malls and shops though. There are several in the area and you never know what you may find.
