When Not to Wear a Hat?

A friend I know who works for a major corporation told me that if a guy was interviewed wearing, or bringing a hat to the interview it would be a minus. My feeling is, adjust to their expectations to get the job, then be productive and you can be a trendsetter later. dean

    Post New Hats Here!

Both hats look fine. The deeper the crease the lower the crown, but high crowns are fine, and yes, might take some getting used to. Nice A-2. dean

    Pugaree.....?

Bolt...make one. Somebody already suggested it. From the outerwear forum, which is a whole other world from the hats forum, they talk a lot about A-1 jackets made from capeskin, a really thin and pliable leather used mainly for gloves. I'd bet it would work for the folding necessary to produce...

    Back In A Fedora!

Lordcharles, The common answer to your question will usually be: Fedoras go with almost any attire. Almost. You rightly indicate your inclination to wear one with a particular jacket, or coat. I wear my fedora even in the house just because I love the hat.:D I needed to get comfortable...

    Back In A Fedora!

Your sentiments are much appreciated, friends, and I'm looking forward to expanding my fedora collection, along side the other headgear I like...you should see the D-1A Heavy Crew Cap I scored on ebay. Great cold weather stuff. Can't decide if I should move toward more felt, or build-up warm...

    Back In A Fedora!

No problem! I became very self-concious about wearing a fedora. I couldn't take the comments I'd sometimes get. Plus, the felt got warm in the summer and gave no ear protection in the winter, and I just didn't like the straw I own and I like a bunch of military caps I have, so all these...
