Prince Charles' Style: Like or Dis-Like?

And I don't think you really understand how much of the workload of a leader-who-makes-meaningful-decisions involves running around and looking pretty. It's certainly a big part of the POTUS's schedule. More to the point, HRH is performing part of the duties of the Queen, the head of state...

Where to buy safety-razor blades in Melbourne?

I'm certainly no expert, but I can offer one comment: I started out using Personna blades in my safety razor, but found them just too sharp. I got cut every time I used them. I've since switched to Merkur blades (which I get from The Art of Shaving or The Grooming Lounge), and they're much...

Very nice. You look good in it. If you want suggestions or critiques on the fit, post front and side views with the jacket buttoned and your arms straight down at your sides. Those pictures are cool, though. You remind me a bit of David Caruso, only you dress better.

Prince Charles' Style: Like or Dis-Like?

I hate to be the crab others have described me as, but this whole thread to me smacks of throwing stones from glass houses. I enjoy critiquing style as much as anyone, but Charles and Marzotto are both stylish men and--if only because they have money--dress better than 90% or more of the men...

    Formal Wear Primer

My instinct is that it'd only work with a peak lapel. Since it's a loan element from white-tie, seems like you'd want the rest of your outfit to be as formal as possible. Which would indicate a peak lapel jacket, in my mind. The lesser formality of a shawl jacket seems to call for a...

But old images of notch-lapel dinner jackets from way back when don't count the same way, right? Great. Just making sure we had that straight.

    Well Fitted - 1940

Really? Looks tight in the coat skirt and too long in the back rise of the trousers to me. Nice drape overall, though. [huh]

    Formal Wear Primer

I'm glad MB responded with all those great citations. He has clearly done his homework and knows what's he's talking about. However, I think the authorities he quotes only go to reinforce a point I've already conceded: that the peak and shawl lapel options were the greatly preferred options...
