I really like the Addi Turbos because they have nice smooth joins, so the yarn moves smoothly across. And they are very slick, which I like. the Addi Turbo bamboo needles are wonderful too.
I've been having a tough time finding the Swallow Casein needles--they have this wonderful tortoise...
I found some from Naturalizer that might fit that bill:

Or these would be grand too...
You are very kind! We will certainly have to check out each others work when we finish them!
I found the Remembering Honey pattern from the Spring 2003 issue of Interweave Knits. I had to specially order it off the Website, but I knew I had to make that sweater. So far so good...
Love...
Wow! That's crazy! I was just about to write the same thing--Anne of Green Gables going to the White Sands Hotel Concert.
I had a feeling there would be a few AGG (that's Anne of Green Gables) fans in the Lounge.
But the dress is gorgeous. In fact I'm always amazed by all of the great...
I also agree with Lizzie Maine and Paul re: the supply and demand (as well as eBay.) A decade ago it was much easier to find dresses from the 30s and 40s and loads from the 50s. Now these items are seen as antiques and rarely go for less than $50 a dress.
But remember the big swing dancing...
Wow! That job does sound amazing, but very tough! I have a friend who is writing a knitting book and she has the toughest time getting the larger sizes and even just writing patterns from her amazing designs.
But I admire your work! Let us know when some of htose fitted peplum sweaters come...
I was eyeing that sweater too! But instead am going to run with this vintage inspired knit right from Interweaves 2003 issue. It's called "Remembering Honey" I love it!
Not the best picture, but it has been a dream to knit so far.
Oh, I love White Lies Designs! And she has things that are gasp! larger than a 40 inch bust.
Her stuff is amazing. I've been wanting to knit one for awhile.
Vive les retro knitters!
I don't think there is anything better than tea! And the party looks absolutely divine. What a great menu. I bet there wasn't a scrap left over ecause it was all so good!

Anyone making the most out of their three days off?
I'm heading out of SF to a little town near Point Reyes, where my sweetie and I are going to do nothing and enjoy every minute of it.
I always think of Labor Day as that last gasp of air before speeding into the fall and the holidays...
I'm getting married in less than three months--the same day as the QM--oof!
But I've also heard that it is good luck to sew a couple of stitches on the brides dress just before she goes down the aisle.
I've also heard that it's extra good luck for the bride to have a borrowed veil. But...
I'd be a costumer for Hollywood films. A sweeter Edith Head, if you would.
But I do like the idea of working with Ms. Lizzie Maine on her radio show. Ooh! Makes me want to rent "Radio Days" over Labor Day weekend.
I'm in PR so I subscribe to about two dozen mags and newspapers through home and work:
- New York Times
- Wall Street Journal
- The New Yorker
- Fitness
- Shape
- Cottage Living
- Newsweek
- Rolling Stone Magazine
- Glamour
- Martha Stewart
- Home Companion
- AdWeek
- MediaWeek

Well, Fluer De Guerre--I usually wear a size 10 and I measured my foot which was 9 5/6. According to their sizing chart that put me right in the size 10 arena.
The only ones that didn't fit were the red Mary Janes (style 106) and I think that might have to do with the strap--perhaps shoes...
Yeah--kinda like dry cleaning.
And the mineral oil made me think about that Bare Escentuals line of make-up products taht supposedly are so easy on your skin that it actually will improve your skin. Hmmm...I wonder what minerals are used to make mineral oil. I bet there is some connection...
