The carbines do give a large ball of fire when shot. I've only fired two different Mosin's (neither mine) and noticed that the trigger pull was very light. Is this typical for all Mosin-Nagant's?
I remember being fascinated by "The Guiness Book of World Records" as a kid in the '70's. One of the facts I remember was the country with the most drive in theatres. It wasn't the US but the USSR that had the most.
Well, as far differences go, I'm willing to bet that the child in the illustration is a boy and I'm fairly certain that the child in the photograph is a girl.
Outstanding! Been thinking about getting one for years, just haven't "pulled the trigger" yet. And for less than $100, how can you go wrong? Probably my next purchase.
There's too many cars out there I would love to have but I've narrowed it down to a few, all Packards. The National Packard Museum is located in my town (Warren, Ohio. Where the Packard automobile got it's start) Hope to own one some day but it'll probably be a Clipper. Not much chance it'll...

At work sometimes we'll play "Warren Fire Department: The Movie". Not for an actual plot line, but we'll discuss what actor would play our part in the movie. Edward Norton has been suggested for my part which is fine with me. Some of the suggestions for the other guys can get brutal.
Watching "JFK" yesterday and one of the flashback scenes the day of the assassination showed a Ford Mustang that wouldn't come out for another 6 months.
Also, in "Animal House" set in 1962 one of the songs used was "Cherish" by the Association which wasn't released until 1966.
Well, Sheeplady, if you ever decide to post anything about your experiences, trials and tribulations and photos of your home and restoration work, I'd be keenly interested in reading about and seeing the results. Good luck and congratulations to you.
I've always had an appreciation for Victorian era homes and would love to own one day, so I was surfing and fantasizing when I came across a site that makes me think of the possibilities. Now, a lot of the homes are out of my price range but some could be doable if I wanted to move. And after...
