Actually it's kind of embarrassing. Some of the vitriol, even in this thread, is totally unwarranted. Isn't she entitled to her opinion? Isn't that what her blog exists for, to give vent to her thoughts and opinions?

Did anybody find a replacement for BLOG, a word I despise, and not just because it refers to, well, blogs, but because it sounds like something one might expect to find in a diaper.

I'm so glad you're digging the Wellman retrospective. I know I had nothing to do with it but I'm just as pleased as if I did. I'm afraid that even after it's all ver and done with on TCM William Wellman will still be an under-rated great.
