Cheers!
I did end up buying a vintage razor from my favourite vintage shop in town. The giftee, however, is not much of a vintage guy. Hope he can handle it.
Was Big Night no longer available at your video store?
Okay, dragging your best gal is one thing, but, really, did you have to do that to your poor mom? :eusa_doh:
Frustrated after gift -hunting for a decent, butterfly-style safety razor for a friend... all the shops now have are razors that look like safety razors of yore but that take the dozen-bladed, plastic do-thingy blades that go on those razors with really sad little, churched-up, juvenile...
I'll kick in to agree that fit is more important than material where comfort is concerned. My caps have grosgrain, poly-something-whosis, leather and suede sweats. None but the poly causes me to sweat or itch. I have no problem with the suede, though they did make my hair go all pineapple-like...
That's some good news.
Newwcastle has also undergone some restoration and development and was, when I last visited, looking very spruce.

I don't know why one hat would be more suitable than another for FL members who are church ministers, but I can say thank-you for drawing this to my attention. I love the lords hat and have two, though neither one fits me. (Note: when buying on OFAS, size like a homburg, one up.)
I should...

Phew, thanks for clearing that up. I couldn't get the Dada thing out of my head and even Google didn't help. (Then I started humming AM Radio by Hugo Race.)
Now, are you seeing these little green sea-horse thingies too, or should I still worry?
:offtopic:
Mr. Senator,
I don't want to sound like a monkey, but you've referred to Hugo Ball a few times, and I don't know who he is (apart from the dadaist); I'm interested in your semiology of buttons, for reasons almost entirely outside of the interests of the FL, and in other unmapped...
"stylish" meaning "trendy", right.
Square chairs and neutral tones, little bowls of pebbles on the table... and then in three years, oops, that's no longer the style.
Every hotel bar but two in my sad little city has been vandalized by designers updating the image from classic to...
