Sorry about that. Vintage Leather Jackets III. Here is a link to the thread I mentioned earlier. Note that Skeeter's problems were with the shoddy craftsmanship of the jacket, not it's attention to accuracy. He ordered a custom job and was delivered the euivalent of a factory second...
To be honest I think Jack Scorpion hit the nail on the head and most of what I have to say is redundant and less articulate than his excellent explanantion.
Two cents:
There are a few basic factors in my determing what is Noir and what is not, and these are fairly strict guidelines. Many of...
When it's all said and done, the best bargains on A-2 jackets are still to be found on eBay, regardless of whether you are a high-end snob like myself or just a bargain seeker. By carefully seaching and bidding strategically, I've purchased A-2s by McCoy's, Eastman, and Aero in new or excellent...

I've seen RMJ's McQueen sweatshirt in Japan. Great packaging but essentially a blue vintage-styled sweatshirt. Japan is lousy with repro sweatshirts at reasonable prices. The Hilts job was nice but not worth the gold bullion they were asking.
For those reading these posts unacquainted with Will Eisner's great 1940's comic THE SPIRIT, it is simply the greatest non-superhero "hero" series ever put to paper. A work of stupendous genius on every level, a genuine American masterpiece. Reprints are readily available at any good comic book...
