My 'everyday' is Trumpers Spanish Leather, with Trumpers West Indian Limes coming into play on summer days :).
My 'evening' is Creed Cuir de Russie (Russian Leather); an odd fragrance, but I love it. Fortunately, so does my wife..... Would be my everyday one if a) it wasn't so damnably...
Just what he said.....;)
Again, no hat to trade that fits the bill, but would be very open to negotiate to acquire that peach Borsalino (should it be for sale and Edward somehow turn it down).
Regards, and still loving that Mallory you sold me :)

Hi Metropd,
Any decision on whether this one is sold or not? I PM'd you early on (who knows whether I was the first, though..... things go fast around here!), and would still like to buy it if it's available.
Thanks,
RobStC
Merci beaucoup for posting this, Jauntyone. As a fan of the 50's Continental look, it was great to see. Some sharp suits in there..... Also nice to see Rome without its now ever-present level of traffic :(

Yep, even nicer now..... I sort of like the slightly wonky / 'not perfect' shape anyway, but either way this definitely looks good on you! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Yes, I realise that, and did not mean to imply otherwise. Just that the chances of finding a similar Borsalino in the UK in that amazing colour are pretty much zero, therefore custom-made would be my only route. No offence meant, but I know that Art will work from a picture as guidance for a...
Oh my..... that is the most gorgeous hat I've seen for a long time - and there's some heavy competition around these parts. I feel a phone call to Mr. Fawcett coming on, with this picture as the inspiration (for 'inspiration' read 'blatant copy'!)
Simply amazing.....

Kite
An elongated diamond, more of a kite shape, seems to be what I'm enjoying most for most of my hats at the moment - just seems to work with my idea of how a hat should look from various angles, and what I think/hope works for my facial proportions and shape!

A shop called Fabhatrix in the Grassmarket is pretty much the only 'sort of serious' hat shop in Edinburgh. Very central, and would be worth a good look - their range is pretty wide. Other than that, pretty much any of the 'Scottish souvenir' shops on the Royal Mile will sell tweed caps, as...
WOW!!!
Really nice ribbon colour to go with the Mojave felt, and great crease, especially the high front peak. A classic.....
What height is it to the top of the sides, by the way?
Now show us it on your head, please :p

Mallory Premier
Hi Aureliano,
If by any chance this beauty is still available, consider it sold! (as long as you can accept Paypal.....).
Will happily cover all international shipping costs.
Yours hopefully,

Nice find, Sproily, and looks a good match to your existing parts of the whole ensemble.
Am sure you'll be able to pick up a Bowler to go with it all - probably an immaculate vintage one, knowing your finding skills......:)
Looking very stylish as always.

Yeah, my experience (and we get a fair amount of rain in sunny Scotland) is that the sole is the main part affecting grip. The rubber heels help, but only partially.....
Even in the dry, some shops have such highly polished floors that leather soles are still pretty lethal.
I know that...
Don't know what it is like in the US, but here in the UK most of the charity/goodwill shops are pretty sussed about keeping bits of a suit together.
So often, it's not so much that someone has deliberately split up a suit as that only the jacket has been brought in to the shop in the first...
FL Classifieds
Just want to say that I for one really appreciate the Classifieds. As someone who is relatively new to collecting hats, it's great to have a steady selection of possibilities presented by people who seem to know what they are presenting.
Even though the 'big' hats like...
Very nice, Billy :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap . Another great one for your amazing collection..... Been nice seeing a few more of them over the last while.
