    What are you wearing today??

I wore this last night heading out to dinner - sorry the quality of the photo is so bad - I was in a rush! A black, early 1960's dress suit with matching jacket, suede kitten heels & black Chanel clutch: I reckon this is one of my favourite suits - here's a photo of it as you can't...

Midcentury Domestic to Post-modern Superwoman (Women Only)

I couldn't agree more with this! I was lucky enough to be able to afford to give up my job when I had my daughter and I do feel that certain womens perceptions of me has shifted/changed - that I have somehow sloped off into a vortex of domesticity so they can't relate to me now that I am no...

    What Are You Reading

I read that a couple of years ago - one of the most enjoyable bio's I've had the pleasure of reading! By chance have you read "Love is Nothing", his bio on Ava Gardner? If not, I would highly recommend it.

Today's Pinup Fashion a Sly Wink to the Past - New York Times

Indeed, when I think of Gentlemen's Club I imagine leather armchairs, a roaring fire, a library, oak-panelling, all the gents looking dapper and well turned out, sipping cocktails or tipple of choice, the rustling of newspapers and some quiet conversation.... A world away from the sordid scene...

Today's Pinup Fashion a Sly Wink to the Past - New York Times

I despair when I read so many women stating that they have no problem with their partner/spouse going to a strip club on Stag Nights (whether their own or someone elses) - that it's "just something the lads do" or "a bit of a laugh" or "I don't want to have him miss out". It doesn't occur to...

The general decline in standards today

I wonder if they started charging drunk people for their treatment in the A&E would it make any kind of a difference? Hitting them in their pocket might make them think twice about getting so blotto - taking up valuable space for people who genuinely need medical assistance. I probably told...

The general decline in standards today

I think one of the main problems now is that there is no shame in being drunk anymore - over here it's all "He's a gas man isn't he?!" or "He's hilarious with a few scoops on him" - no one is saying "The state of you last night - you were a complete disgrace". It's just seen as a source of fun...
