I'm not alone then, in having thought that the thread title was implying something disastrous for Coble's health. I'm glad that is not true. Sunbody hats are also great quality, and I own one, their fedora model with the leather band.
That's a very nice sports coat. It may be older than the 1920s, an antique in fact, yet it would still work with modern clothing. The detail of shorter rather than longer vents is something I like. Could it be 1890s or 1900s?
It's not my look, but I think a big reason these ties in the pictures work so well, is that vintage ties are able to retain the smaller or moderate sized knots that are balanced based on the ties' bottom widths. Their ties are quite short to me, yet they don't look bad as most are conditioned to...
I have a suggestion that could help you. If you are interested in a suit, I have found that the rises in the Jos. A Bank's suits, even of the slim fit which I own, are pretty high. The slim fit suits are advertised as having their lowest rise, but my pants reach the navel, or the belly button...
Excellent, Metropd. Everything fits very well, and you appear be naturally wearing it. I agree, the hat is very nice. I like pale grey fedoras with black ribbons. I have one, although mine has a lower crown and a narrower brim.
I'm from the U.S. If not sweater, I would use pullover or jumper, although the first of the three is what I say most often. When referring to them in general and plural, I'd say knitwear.

There are some pictures of Jon Hamm on the set of Mad Men, filming the next half of Season 7.
Thank you for the detailed explanation. On various forums, I have read of cases of people bringing their ties to a dry cleaner, only to end up with a tie shinier than it came in, or otherwise different.
I think it's OK to wear beaten, worn hats. My western hat is a beater by now, having acquired some stains, and a slightly warped brim. I still wear it. My favorite beater hat seen in a movie, is probably Humphrey Bogart's hat in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, as the opportunist Fred C. Dobbs...
I think you're right. Quite a few people over the years have complimented my hats, and some have even expressed interest in wanting to wear one. I wear vintage style fedoras (including one actual vintage), an Akubra Snowy River, a modern Open Road hat, and sometimes my straw hat for the summer...
Very nice tie, Tommy! I don't have a single hand-painted tie in my collection, yet, but in general, many here have made convincing arguments for getting one.
Thanks! That was my grandfather's tie, which he wore between the 1960s (I'm not sure if any earlier), through the 1970s. I'm not sure if...
I think the Akubra top hat recalls an earlier style in top hats, when they were made of felt, and before it was mostly silk top hats that had become popular between the later 19th and early 20th centuries. I think many of these silk hats were collapsible, so that they could be reduced in size to...
I am curious, does anybody here own an Akubra top hat? I am not sure under what context I'd see myself wearing a top hat, now, but it does look like a nice hat.
