Been trying to find a USAAF officer's uniform holdall / kit bag but not having much luck.
Anybody know what the official term for the holdall is and anywhere I can look to maybe find a repro etc.
If you know of any pics could you please post them also.......

A quick question for spitfie/paddy on the Aero 36 pattern boots, how wide are the boots at the top of the calf is there enough room for your average guy to include the tucking in of pants or are they pretty tight around the top.
Guys, I wouldn't worry too much about how your jackets look size wise, as long as they are comfortable, warm and you can wear what you like underneath then that's perfect in my book.

The UK weather is crap at the moment, rain, rain and more rain with temperatures well above average for this time of year......may not get to wear the Irvin this year if it keeps up like this. :(
I vaguely remember it as a child,too young to understand what it was all about but the theme tune always sticks in my mind......my dad was a keen viewer of the series and I own myself on DVD, excellent programme.

When I purchased my Highwayman I decided to go up a size to a 46" even though I usually take a 44" just to give me that little extra room incase I wanted to wear a sweater underneath.
This seemed to do the trick as it is a comfortable with a sweater or with just a t-shirt and the jacket doesn't...
Whilst in Vegas one year I went to a shooting club where I fired a WW2 Thompson and a WW2 Grease gun that they had there.
The Thompson was excellent to fire, accurate and easy to handle even though it was mentioned that the muzzle tends to rise to the right when firing.
