There a variety of A-2 jackets with the neck lining or "collar stand", the most famous being the Rough Wear variety (Eastman make two different RW contract models and the Japanese have produced several more).
Any jacket from Eastman or Aero will be pretty damn good, but yeah, the Werber looks...
Attention to detail, pattern reproduction, epaulet length, zippers, snaps, knit accuracy, lining, etc.
Aero does offer the advantage of choosing which leather/knits your jacket will be crafted from, and that is a big avantage over Eastman, but in general they have an apathetic approach to true...
Did you mean..."We,as CHRISTIANS,can comprehend God from what the Bible says.Thats it."?
Because I don't think Jews, Druids, Bhuddists, Satanists, Sikhs, Moslems, Odinists, Hindus, Nonbelievers, etc comprehend god through the bible.
Also, I might add, that, Eastman's version of the Aero A-2 is superior to that of Aero of Scotland's version. They no longer advertise it on their website but it is still available upon request. Buzz Rickson's version is the best, but hard to come by in larger sizes.
This quiz sounds useless. Last time I took one of these things was in high scool supposedly to determine a career best suited for oneself. My verdict was "mortuary science".
There is a Cooper Fonz on eBay right now that would probably fit a size 38/40, but I will refrain from posting the link to the auction due to a crybaby rule forbidding the posting of "live" auctions.
Cooper put out an officially liscensed Fonz jacket in the 70's, they show up on eBay fairly regularly. I had one when I was a kid. I saw one at a vintage shop recently and was impressed with the jacket's overall fine quality. And of course the patern is a dead ringer for the original.
My girlfriend's stepmother is Jewish, and she had us over to her aprtment for latkes last week. First time I ever tried one. Gotta say, they were pretty damned good! Really truly damned good.
In regards to what Raymundo said:
Well...yeah some jacket nuts get a little snobby in reference to the less expensive repro A-2s, but it's a long stretch to claim they spend more money on the overseas products merely as status symbols. No matter how you slice it, ELC, McCoy's, Buzz, etc provide...
Aero's super stylish 30's halfbelt (which is totally different from the Highwayman) is their finest offering, and like HD said, probably not for everybody these days. But if you watch a movie like Chaplin's MODERN TIMES, which features a lot of blue collar-type extras, even the heavier guys are...
Lot's of honkies wore spades too! My grandfather for one. I know a fellow with a couple dozen of deadstock pairs, but they are all sizes five to seven.
