DO NOT BUY ACRYLIC FELT. acrylic felt is not woven - it's held together by chemicals and heat, i believe. it will not stand up to washing at all. it's really only meant to be used for costumes, where it won't be washed often.
i haven't thought about it much, beyond desiring cremation over burying. i think having one's ashes scattered would be better than being stuck in an urn forever... not that it really matters though!
me? i'm usually scrambling around putting things together the morning of the event, or maybe the night before if i'm planning ahead! :rolleyes:

hey, i forgot to give a THANK YOU to the ladies who tackled my red-dress query. i think i need to listen to my instincts more - i had guessed it was a mid-20th-century "old fashioned" costume! lol now if i could only figure out what the heck to do with it!
thank you everyone! i'm quite pleased with it. :D this is the first year in 10 years that swimsuit shopping (besides vintage) has left me with a different reaction from crying and ranting.

i did more shopping today than i have in a WHILE. i bought:
- Esther Williams swimsuit (i posted about it in the vintage bathing suit thread!)
- bomber necklace
- 3 pairs of earrings for $10 total - black hearts, blue anchors and red beads (in picture of dress)
- cutesy sundress ever! it has...
darhling, it doesn't have a TON of shaping, but the front has a power-mesh panel and cups, which help a lot. i actually wish there was a bit in the back, too. it really pulls in my stomach and makes my waist look more defined.

omgomgomgomg! so i went to the store to try on the blue bathing suit, and didn't even do it because they also had EW suits!! the navy suit had NO shaping inside whatsoever and i knew it wouldn't do it. i came home instead with a black-and-white polka dot EW one-piece, for $69 and no shipping.:D...
i'm coming to terms with how tiny my new apartment is and so i'm putting a table up for sale. i would love it if it went to a lounger! sorry - i can't ship this item - you'll have to come pick it up from me this week. here's an article about Acclaim from a website. and here's the text from my CL...
