Size Question on Martin Lane G-1 Jacket
Here's a quick pic of my 1968 Martin Lane and the Contract label...... The Jacket has been issued and there are stitch holes from the name and unit tags, also has VQ-3 printed on the back of the jacket which is the (TACAMO) USN VQ-3 Ironman squadron Fleet Air Recon- Marv

cheers Andrew, the photos don't really do either jacket justice but I would say that the GW is bigger size wise compared to the ELC and has better hide (shinki) but the ELC fits a little better but still a bit too big though. to be honest, I haven't worn an A2 since October last year and that...- Marv

Size Question on Martin Lane G-1 Jacket
I have a 1968 D series Martin Lane in a 46" and it fits on the snug size, the pit to pit is 23 inches (on my other 46" G1s it's 24 inches) however, overall the size of the jacket seems on the small size so I'm guessing mine may have been labelled up incorrectly as it seems to equate to a size...- Marv

GW Rough Wear 27752 in Seal Shinki horsehide made in 2013, these photo are from around two years ago and lighting isn't very good I'm afraid. Size is 48" reg which equates to a 46" reg however after losing some weight and with it being a Rough Wear which are roomy in the torso at...- Marv

B-3 Jacket as a Daily Wear
it's currently 0 C (32 F) at present which I'm guessing should warrant wearing my ELC Irvin but no, can't seem to bring myself to wear it so I have currently been switching between a G1 and a B-10 (wearing a G1 this morning) and it was a bit chilly.- Marv

I picked up a nice 1971 Brill Bros 7823 D (WP) Black label, dynal collar G1 which has the Conmar/Scovill zipper recently and was wondering what year did the USN switch from goatskin to cowhide. What Do They All Think Of Your Vintage?
My main vintage clothing are military jackets so A2s, G1s, M41s, Tankers, N1s, Irvins etc. also boots mainly roughouts & boondockers and so forth but I do own a 5 button jumper and mechanic's jumper plus one officer field shirt and that's about it. Eastman Roughwear 1401 A-2 jacket - Holy Grail!
very nice indeed, the RW pattern does seem to have been improved some what since I got my RW 27752 back in 2011. Here's a quick photo of mine in it's current state...... Hey Fanch, I would say the I prefer the G1 for comfort over the A2 and I tend to move more towards the G1 as the weather gets colder so around this time of year.
