Twit, is this what you saw at the bike show?

Apparently its 12 ounce.
My girlfriend wears an ‘Italian’ Belstaff Trialmaster which is 10 ounce.
My Barbour International is a mere 8 ounce.
So they seem good value.
I would say the...
I like to wear gear that matches the bike I’m riding at the time. At the weekend on a 100 mile plus run on the 40s Norton I wore some my Aero long half belt in HH, an open face Davida with split glass goggles, vintage gauntlets, Draggin cargo trousers( Have abrasion protection) and a Barbour...
Yeh, it’s for wearing on the old Triumph and AJS on rainy days.
Thought those officers boots would go well on the ww2 Norton. But they are not cheap. I have a thing about wearing period gear to match the bikes.

I have just received my new Barbour International which I bought from Silvermans.
They sent a catalog which has these officers’ boots in. They say they are hand made in the UK, wonder who by? They look pretty good to me.
Has anyone bought a pair?
James
I weigh just over 11 ½ stone myself and personally I would not want a 42 in this jacket. I think it would look ok but not really the fit I would want in this style.
But if you intend wearing a jumper or layers then it may suit you to order a 42. I only wear mine in the summer with just a...
Can’t comment on the Star as I don’t own one. But here is my Werber in a 40.
I am 5’9” also about 40.5” chest and waist 34” (was also 32” waist only a couple of months ago!!)
Quite a light weight horsehide which is perfect for the summer months. I like the extra top stitching on the...
Donned my Aero Irvin, fired up the old WW2 Dispatch Norton and wobbled off to the 306th Bombardment Museum at Thurleigh.
An original munitions hut filled with memorabilia including flight jackets both RAF and US. Its run by Ralph Franklin and his wife. Ralph worked at the watch tower at...
Here is a link to my Aero ELC Irvin comparison:

John L, I seem to remember you were having talks with Aero about a fuller sleeved Aero Irvin?
James.
Those extra panels make for a more interesting jacket. I really like this Irvin. The fit is perfect.
Thinking of letting my two repro Irvin’s go and getting one of these. But then I do like my Aero and 42 ELC. Can’t have another Irvin can I? Maybe I should not look in this lounge any more!!;)...
Well what a great old Hercules!
I have tried gluing up cracks with little success, the glue has to be malleable or the crack becomes stiffer than the leather and, well cracks again!
As already suggested I feel the best way is a ‘supple’ piece of leather stuck to the back with glue that...
I’m very close to getting a pair of these:

Not cheap but I don’t think I can resist much longer.[huh]
James.
Working my way through a box of 25 Cuabas. Have one the go at the moment.
I don’t seem to have the palette that some of you connoisseurs have, so I reasoned that if I only smoke one make for a while I may notice the differences of others more?
James
Interesting discussion this.
Most of my motorcycle jackets have not got bi-swing backs and I have never found them to be restrictive when on a bike.
Personally I just like the way they look, either on bike jackets or not.
My next Aero will definitely have an ‘action back’ of some...
Perfect fit on that Aero 911.
I have two Aero A2s I wear for work. A heavy steerhide for winter and a lighter horsehide for summer. Great jackets for work as they are so easy to move in. I will post some photos when I get the opportunity.
Thanks for the comments on my long half Belt chaps...
