Hugh O'Brian, the actor to play Wyatt Earp as well as the Gunfighter John Wayne faced in the Shootist passed away today at 91. I fondly remember watching reruns of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp- Kirk H.

"Jon Polito, the mustachioed, raspy-voiced character actor who squeezed both humor and surprising pathos from the many mobster and cop roles he played—most memorably for the Coen brothers passed away today". He was a very talented actor. Loved his performance in Millers Crossing.- Kirk H.

Advice needed - Akubra Federation IV
I own two Fed IV's and have not had an issue with the crown tapering. You are lucky that you can go to the store and pick out the one you want. Like the others have stated, I have worn mine in down pours and snow storms and they hold up just fine. Good luck on just walking out with one hat.... -

I have not tried to shape a brim with the hat shaper, but I do have the open crown with out the add a brim feature that I have used to take out creases so that I could reshape them. I have had good luck with it and have found the HatShaper to be useful. -

Akubra Zephyr review
Very nice. I have the Akubra Capricorn. It's my first polypropylene hat. I love the fact that if I get caught in the rain I don't have to worry. I too live in a very humid area and find that breathes alright, just not as good as a straw. Of course not having hair, I sweat in anything in the... -

I have heard of them, but have never got to handle one. They look like a very solid revolver. And I am very partial to 6 shot snub nose revolvers. Is that a k-frame speed loader that you have with it? Kirk- Kirk H.

Not from a prison tower, but my right ear. I get that same look from my wife and my daughter too. I am now at the point that when I am working with long guns, I use both the foam ear plugs and the "ear muffs".- Kirk H.
