I've had a large (or medium, can't remember) Saddleback briefcase in chestnut for quite a few years now, but to be honest I never got into the habit of using it on a daily basis, and that was when I had a daily commute to my office. I tried a Tusting briefcase but I never really took to it...
Having lost some weight I'm looking to re-home my seal brown horsehide A-2 leather jacket, size 50 inch chest (pit-to-pit 27" on front) from Flightjacket.com.
It was what they call a 'custom' order, which essentially meant paying extra for the larger than standard size, an inside pocket on...
I tried a pair last year, in brown with the rubber sole. Sadly, one of the boots had a natural blemish on the toecap, which I wasn't too happy about. In fairness, some beeswax based natural shoe polish may have made it vanish, but for the price I wasn't willing to risk it. I would have got...
I have one in brown FQHH, bought in 2008, I think. It's very warm, quite heavy but in a good way. Honestly, I think it's the ultimate leather jacket. I've lost a bit of weight since I got it, so it's a little big, but it's essentially an overcoat so no worries there as it's great for layering.
Timpson shoe repairers say they can re-sole DMs. No idea how good or not they are, but their website says it's an in-store job, so it's readily available throughout the UK. Again, no idea if they're any good at it or not.
I work in publishing so eReaders are great for manuscripts etc. As a one-time (long-time) bookseller, I must confess I do prefer the physical book but have quite happily adapted to reading in either format.
I got two from Aero, a 48" from the sale page which was far, far too small for me (I'm a 47-49 inch chest, exhaled to inhaled and currently wearing a new 46" chest Hercules which fits perfectly) but it wasn't possible to actually wear, so they very kindly made me a 52" chest, in just a few days...
I've got the Bandera Jacket from about 2.5 years back (not the current version, which is now more than twice the price of mine here in the UK) and it's great for what I wanted it for - a slightly more formal sport jacket style to wear for work. Not the best leather ever, but not bad, and it's...
I got the Hercules in a 46" a few months ago. I'm 5' 11.5', and similar measurements to you in the chest, perhaps an inch bigger. It's perfect for me layering over a mid-weight wool jumper or a heavy shirt, but I wouldn't want it any smaller. I wear it with the side ties quite loose. I'd say...
I've ordered from them twice. Very speedy and easy to return. I've had no need to contact them though, so I can't help there. Just a thought, but ringing the shop is probably the best way to get a hold of them. After all, it's a bricks and mortar shop first, e-commerce shop second.
Excellent! The Orvis one would be easier, in many ways, than buying from the USA, as they have a UK online store. Eastman's looks good as well. Thanks for the link to the Mitts Knits website as well. Much appreciated.
Has anyone had anything from the following?

Both do roll-neck and other kinds of Fishermen sweaters. The top one seems to be available from several places in the UK, but they're very expensive. They're highly...
