I learnt map reading and orienteering at school in the RAF Cadets. Since then I've kept my love of maps and map reading, although I think the new map software and GPS gadgets are fantastic as well!

I'm about 100 pages into that one at the moment and it's very good, but it's mostly a social history of why people stopped wearing them! On the whole it's a very interesting read, with a very entertaining and engaging style, but there are no pictures at all.
