    Can you navigate?

I learnt map reading and orienteering at school in the RAF Cadets. Since then I've kept my love of maps and map reading, although I think the new map software and GPS gadgets are fantastic as well!

    Crombie 'Slicker' Raincoat

Hi Everyone, I picked up this knee length raincoat at the Crombie store in Manchester (UK) yesterday, reduced from a whopping £375 to £99. It's Navy Blue (although they had Black and Stone as well), size XXL with epaulettes, belt and a nice brown suede highlight on the back of the collar...

The Elephant in the Room - Man Purse

Hi there - I've fancied one of these for a while, they're expensive but very nice! The only drawback is the shoulder strap is only 40" long. http://www.tusting.co.uk/moreinfo.asp?id=12 Cheers! Michael

Hats and Baldness...settle a dispute for me.

I read a very convincing article that said it's pretty much genetic, you inherit your hair type from you mother's side of the family. So, if you maternal grandfather is bald you're out of luck. Or, to put it another way, you're genetically pre-disposed to wearing hats! It could all be...

Maltese Falcon Replica - Advice Needed!

Hi everyone, I realise this is a subject that's been posted about before but I was wondering if anyone knows which of the various (available) replicas is the best one to go for? Since trolling the internet today and looking up the posts here I've just got to have one for my office! Any...

    Akubra Fed: Carbon Grey

I ordered the same hat a few weeks ago from the same firm but they'd run out of the Carbon Grey in my size. I was impressed with their service though, they offered me the Federation Deluxe in Graphite Grey for the standard Federation price. A bit darker than I wanted but a bargin! Having...

    Books on Hat History, Styles?

I'm about 100 pages into that one at the moment and it's very good, but it's mostly a social history of why people stopped wearing them! On the whole it's a very interesting read, with a very entertaining and engaging style, but there are no pictures at all. Hope that's of use!
