And there I was coming in to work this morning feeling brassed off at the light flak I'd caught from the girlfriend for no adequate reason...!
Thanks for the shot of perspective and the reality-check there, Navin. Welcome back.
I should know better than to let a little light flak get to me -...
The only photos I have are still here: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?71410-My-Aero-ANJ-3
Will add a few more of the back panel etc the next time I wear it to work (I normally ride mountain bikes in all weathers, all year 'round to and from work, so I'm in modern MTB-tech gear...
I've got to ask ... is she real? I mean, she's not some imaginary wife, or something?!?
You scored large there, my friend. Wow. Never leave her and keep her sweet. You're a lucky man! ;)
Holy smokes - a woman gives a verdict on the FL ! Does it get better than that?
I mean, that's virtually the equivalent of the Russian judge at the ice skating at the Olympics !
Well, to my eye, the shoulders are perfect and the sleeves are good too - just right IMO. It fits you great - especially zipped up.
Therefore, if all those are good (and they are IMO), then the body is in good relation to the sleeves ...
Methinks that the jacket looks a tad short in the photos...
Man, some great tones in that leather! Very nice, CBI ! And I love the fit on you too.
I like the artwork too - looks very original ... was The Bad Penny a B-17/B-24 and is this a direct copy of the original artwork?
That was the same with me and when I first decided to paint on my first A2.
I'd not loved the A2 but it had served me well and still fitted me too - but still, I'd wondered if I was actually able to pull off what I wanted to paint (a pin-up style design and in mediums I'd never used before...
Oh, it's definitely gone quirky - the reply box used to be white and it was fine then.
As soon as it went black, the gremlin started work the same day ... and now i try to type and the paragraph starts scrolling upwards and begins jumping downwards and I'm chasing it around trying to place my...
Fantastic tale, Andrew. But I'd say that the one step that had the biggest impact was having those beers to kick all that off!
You see what a little Dutch courage can do, Worf? "Who dares wins" I said - and sometimes, you just need that little extra somethin' to oil the will to commit ... Just...
Sorry. Didn't mean to repeat myself there as I only hit send once ... Methinks this website has a gremlin or something. I mean, is anyone else finding this ? I try to type in the reply box and work my way down the paragraph, but the cursor keeps scrolling upwards ...! It's been acting up like...
Oh dear.
Just when I'd really been enjoying the lack of partisan comments around here that just turn me off ... <sigh>
Thanks for posting the link nicolasb; it was nice to see that Irvin. Always good to see something that's nice and new (to me, anyway).

I think it gets back to what one thinks of when one thinks of an A2 in one's mind - so that, I suspect, gets back to our first times of seeing these jackets in films (for me The Great Escape probably) and on the TV (Hogans Heroes, Sole Survivor etc) and when we first admired what we saw.
I...
Hmm. Very interesting, Edward. Maybe you're right. Sounds very plausible and I'd like to think it's something like you say.
Or perhaps it just boils down to him and 7 million dollars for 45 seconds of "work". Laughing all the way to his agent ... or his barber.
As washing it is what Armscye and Simonc have advocated here quite fervently (amidst all of the many helpful and very informative options that have been aired <forgive the pun> in this interesting thread of yours, Worf), I think I'd be inclined to give that a whirl as the last, best hope of a...
It seems he isn't, IXL.
And if Worf had taken my original suggestion that he start smoking - and drinking too, now I think on it - say, half a bottle of neat scotch a day, he'd probably not only notice any more, but have forgotten all about it too and all would be well by now .... ;)
