KC, You are probably right about Ike being in a Resistol. He was not only born in Texas but he spent a lot of time here in San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston. He was a member at the San Antonio Country Club where he played golf. -

I definitely got that impression from the pictures! You make a fine hat too. To be honest, I don't wear straws much either, not because I'm tough, I just prefer the feel of a felt hat. What would you consider the best Akubra felt for wearing in hot weather? -

Doug, I have one of those too and love it. I actually have several Sunbody hats and they are great because you can shape them yourself. The one in Rick's picture looks like a tighter weave though. Looks like a nice hat. -

They have always had the picture with the black ribbon. When I got mine the picture was black but the hat had a tan ribbon. I like the tan better too. Probably the best thing to do is call first to see what color they have now. -

I purchased several hats in a package deal recently and the hat below is too small for me. I wear a 7 3/8 long oval.
