Ed,
I can't get that PDF file to open on my iPad but I probably can later on a standard computer. I'm looking forward to reading it.
However, just my 2 cents, but "decline" could have a different interpretation for that era. For instance, instead of everybody wearing hats only 90% of...
Since you are new and only have 2 posts you may not be able to post pictures. I'm not sure about that though but somebody else may know. However, welcome to the lounge.
I have one of these from Meyer and had no problem snapping the front brim down. Didn't really even need any steam. It is a much better hat than the Shantung Open Road. However, it comes with a brown ribbon and not black like in the picture. I actually like the look of the brown ribbon better.
The Jefferson looks very similar to the Stetson Retro Panama in the link below.

For sale is a size 59 (7 3/8) older Akubra Riverina in like new condition. Akubra quit making the Riverina for a while and then started back again recently. The new Riverinas are a little different though. The brims are longer and the edge is not bound. This one has a 3” brim with a bound edge...
Daniel, that's an even better story.
If somebody wants the hat without the box I'll take $20 off the price. These western Resistol boxes are big and really increase the shipping costs.
Daniel,
It fits ok. It is oval shaped though and if I was going to keep it I would use my hat stretcher just to make the shape more long oval. If I did that it would fit perfect but since I'm selling it I'm not going to do anything to it and let the new owner do what they want.
It also may...
I purchased this hat used awhile back but it is like new in the box. It is a size 7 3/8 black Resistol Cattleman with a black, red and white horse hair band. It has a 4" brim and is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) hat. I believe it is an older hat probably made in the 2000's but...
Thanks Rick. I'm still pretty new around here and wasn't sure.
I can see keeping quite on a regular auction so maybe somebody can sneak up on it but I thought since it had a reasonable "Buy It Now" price that somebody was going to jump on it couldn't hurt.
Neophyte, no problem. Apology...
Do you mean post the link to the auction? If so, the only reason I did it was because it had a "Buy It Now" price and I wanted a lounger to get it before somebody else did. I wouldn't have done it if it was a regular auction. If I broke any rules I apologize.
