Nice job on creasing your hat. I like to buy the 3" Fine Guatemalan Palm Open Crowns. The weave is a little denser and holds a crease better I think. Mine seem to be whiter than the standard Guatemalan palm too. That seems to be the perfect brim size for me. I can make them into either a fedora... -

I thought it was creased the wrong way too but it is not. The stitching on the sweatband looks funny....like there is no reeding. I can't really tell about that though on this computer but it does look unusual to me. -

Baggers, If you don't want to risk damaging your original grips then double diamond walnut grips are very common and can be found on EBay for not much at all. Probably around $20.00. I would just buy a pair without the poly finish and put your originals away in case you ever decide to sell...- Landman

Anybody know how to tighten a wind trolley?
I just wanted to let you know that wetting the cord with warm water, pulling it tight and letting it dry cured the problem. The wind trolley is now staying snugged up to the crown. Thanks everybody for your suggestions. -

Anybody know how to tighten a wind trolley?
Thanks gtdean. Before taking it apart I decided to try one last thing. Using my fingers I got only the cord slightly wet with warm water and pulled it into place. It is holding for now while it is drying. If it will stay in place like that I'd rather keep the extra length on the cord. I'll just... -
