Justin's other hat looks great too and for a nice price. Sounds like you've been on a hot streak lately. I hope you post some pictures of them. Take care.
This Resistol San Antonio is headed to San Antonio!
I was upset I missed it when it was first posted. Then I just happened to see where it was available again and I immediately sent a PM to Justin. I've been looking for one in my size for years and have never run across one. I bought one in 7...
Nice job on creasing your hat. I like to buy the 3" Fine Guatemalan Palm Open Crowns. The weave is a little denser and holds a crease better I think. Mine seem to be whiter than the standard Guatemalan palm too. That seems to be the perfect brim size for me. I can make them into either a fedora...
I thought it was creased the wrong way too but it is not. The stitching on the sweatband looks funny....like there is no reeding. I can't really tell about that though on this computer but it does look unusual to me.
Is it just me or does this hat look suspect? The ribbon is on backwards and the sweatband doesn't look right. I'm not interested in, just curious.

Baggers,
If you don't want to risk damaging your original grips then double diamond walnut grips are very common and can be found on EBay for not much at all. Probably around $20.00. I would just buy a pair without the poly finish and put your originals away in case you ever decide to sell...
Mr. Lucky,
I received a PM earlier from a potential buyer and if we don't make a deal you are next in line. If you want you can send a picture of your hat to me at onexco@swbell.net. Thanks.
Mike
I just wanted to let you know that wetting the cord with warm water, pulling it tight and letting it dry cured the problem. The wind trolley is now staying snugged up to the crown. Thanks everybody for your suggestions.
I took a gamble and bought this hat off of Ebay recently and it turned out not to be what I expected. The auction had a very brief description without mention of the color and several poor photos. However, it looked to be a nice older gray Stetson so I bought it without asking any questions...
It is great to hear you are doing so well. I'm sure you can't wait to get home. I had to spend a few weeks in the hospital several years ago and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Seems like they were waking me up every couple of hours to do something so I don't think I ever got any rest. I...
Renault,
I've been thinking about buying one of those for awhile but I have never seen one in person. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion of it once you get your hands on it. Considering I only live about 70 miles away I too like the idea of having Fredricksburg, Texas on the pistol...
Thanks gtdean. Before taking it apart I decided to try one last thing. Using my fingers I got only the cord slightly wet with warm water and pulled it into place. It is holding for now while it is drying. If it will stay in place like that I'd rather keep the extra length on the cord. I'll just...
