I too am excited about the options in working with Art.
I'm up for a great job that I'm expecting to hear back from... any... day.... now. Once it's a done deal, I've got a few plans, I'm looking for something late 20's/early 30's looking. I'm considering the 28 reunion hat Art made for Big...
So I just picked up this hat that I thought had a nice of personality to it. But It's got a nip right on the very front edge of the brim.... any suggestions?!
:p
other lighting trying to capture it...
Dagwood I think you're beating yourself up over it, it looks good! I'd say it looks like half a size too small but not comically small like the above suit!
Also, did you win that 3 piece blue vintage brooks brothers suit....? I'd love to see some pictures of THAT!
I'm putting it up on ebay along with some other interesting stuff, it's a beauty of a suit but moving cross country and joblessness forces my hand :eusa_doh:

I think that's great! Who did it? Karel Mato, the guy that did my Mad Love/Mummy/Val Lewton collages works at the Philadelphia Eddie's on 4th St & Bainbridge if you're interested :)
thanks! I just sat there and took it :p
I've been looking for good images of Lionel Atwill & John Barrymore (from Svengali) for a while but nothing yet has made its way into reading as a good tattoo yet...
I have a bunch of friends who have similar styled tattoos, some with Lugosi from White...
Nope, I've never been in any. I've only been to one convention and it wasn't too into it.
Please excuse some of these photos for being blurry aaand if a person is jobless and online applying for positions all day they haven't always had a shave yet.... errr use youre imagination I look better...
Sure! Plenty of plans, just not my focus at the moment. I've moved across country and finding work is my #1 priority at the moment. Meanwhile, the same artist (2 artists actually - Karel Mato in Philadelphia and Shane Morton in Atlanta) have covered me in mainly 1920's-30's classic hollywood...
for all Ghoulardi & Cramps fans out there.... (although the image is originally an 1800s woodcut design)
It was the first tattoo a friend of mine did, who has since been able to bring his amazing fine art abilities into the tattooing discipline. (as can be seen elsewhere on me) At the time...
thanks! I was really hoping to go as well! But in the end, I'm still on the job hunt and had to go buy an extra air conditioner to keep my things comfy sooo there goes my pretend expendable cash for time being :eusa_doh:
But a pizza & beer meet up is within my budget! (hint hint)
Have...
this weekend's heat is making me look back on last month...
this was a few weeks ago on a cool rainy NY night. My sister had a karaoke birthday meet up with her friends. I'm not usually into that but what the hell, you only live once ;) Meanwhile, I'm sporting a 3 piece 1941 dated peak lapel...
